Strengthening those devoted to Torah
The Irgun was founded to provide supplemental monthly support to accomplished avreichim whose existing Kollel stipends did not adequately meet basic family needs. Its approach was to give these talmidei chachamim greater peace of mind to focus on their Torah learning.
According to the historical overview, the program supported more than thirty avreichim across nine Kollelim. These figures describe the previous program, not present operations.
How the program worked
Supporters contributed toward supplemental monthly stipends, distributed through the Irgun’s framework. The program worked with several Kollelim and documented its activities and rabbinic endorsements in a contemporary overview.
A possible future
The Irgun is currently inactive. Potential partners interested in discussing a renewed model are invited to contact the Rosh Kollel directly.
